The next IBM i Premier User Group is planned for July 1 at IBM South Bank…..

Our agenda includes Ian Jarman who is the WW Power Systems Business Unit Executive for IBM Lab Services and Training.  Ian is a leader in the IBM Power Systems community and a frequent speaker at events and user groups around the world. Most recently, Ian has been leading the celebrations of the 25th anniversary of IBM i. In 2011, Ian worked also with the team of IBM Research scientists that developed Watson, a cognitive analytics system developed for the Jeopardy! IBM Challenge. Ian’s former roles include managing a wide range of IBM’s Power Systems software products, including IBM i, AIX, Linux, PowerVM and PowerHA. He joined IBM in 1986 as a System/36 systems engineer in the United Kingdom and moved to the United States in 1991 to work with the AS/400 development team at the Rochester, Minnesota laboratory.
