With the support of IBM, Applied Technologies are having success in offering a host of cloud based solutions to our clients.
We are currently consulting on 2 projects where IT departments have identified that a key pain is the time and expense often spent on maintaining and supporting desktops for their users. In both cases our clients felt that their hands were pretty much tied in terms of addressing the issue due to the dedication of IT budget to maintaining their current infrastructure.
We understood that keeping desktop management expenditure low is more important now than it ever has been before. We needed to provide a solution that would address the ongoing management issues but would not eat into their limited budgets. This is where IBM Smart Business Desktop came into play.
IBM Smart Business Desktop on the IBM cloud is in many ways the perfect entry into a cloud environment. It will allow both clients to centralise their distributed desktops and therefore provide increased business flexibility whilst making the day to day management of desktops a much simpler task. Being subscription based, it has allowed us to provide an environment that will grow steadily with the client and not chip large chunks out of their budget.
If you would like to discuss further how your business could realise the ongoing low TCO of a cloud based environment please contact us today, shaun.east@applied-tech.co.uk
